Scope of Responsibility
Travel to accounts to provide technical training on all company products.
Assist in performing and writing correlation, linearity, precision and method comparison studies.
Travel to accounts to assess and ensure customer compliance with all current CLIA, CAP, JCAOH or other relevant guidelines.
Assist PED when necessary to present professional educational programs to medical staff.
Create and maintain an implementation program. Show initiative in creating materials/literature to assist customers in understanding product performance and usage.
Proactively identify at-risk accounts to the Dir. of Technical Services and to the appropriate Account Executive and recommend strategies and suggestions to retain such accounts.
Follow standard Technical Services procedures for documenting, identifying, resolving, and, if necessary, returning questionable products for further testing.
Independently perform pro-active account follow up as assigned or as prescribed in departmental SOPs.
Resolve as completely as possible all customer complaints/inquiries.
Maintain complaint documentation system in a professional, accurate manner.
Provide editing assistance, when requested for package inserts and instrument manuals.
As assigned, perform laboratory evaluation of competitors' products and write technical bulletins.
Assist with product training of sales, marketing and technical service staff.
Make field service visits to special customers on occasion to troubleshoot usage of existing products or present product/technology seminars.
Carry out assigned tasks applying knowledge and skill in an accurate, timely manner.
Perform tasks as trained in an independent fashion, requiring minimal ongoing direction. Assist in the establishment of procedures.
Display initiative in performing assigned tasks and accomplishing goals.
Knowledgeable of federal and other regulations, e.g. QSR’s, ISO, ISO 13485, CMDR
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of medical technologist experience plus at least one year of related implementation or Point-of-Care-Testing experience REQUIRED.
Strong knowledge of diagnostic industry, as well as proven excellence in customer service, training and troubleshooting skills.
Familiarity with cardiac care, point-of-care testing, and an understanding of sales is highly desirable.
Demonstrated ability to carry out assignments with minimal guidance in an accurate, dependable manner.
Ability to work with a variety of people on multiple tasks is critical.
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills are required, including a demonstrated ability to clearly and effectively teach complex subjects to a diverse audience.
Requires a minimum of 50% travel, and may average as much as 70% travel, occasionally with less than a week’s notice. Some weekend travel may be required.
Compensation
$85K-90K+ (commensurate with experience)
